Irish Whiskey

I've now posted in a Scotch thread and a Honeyed Whiskey thread (Honeyed Whiskey not even really a type of whiskey), and I saw there was a Bourbon thread, as well. But really I drink Irish Whiskey, and a search didn't show a thread for it, so here we are.

(For the record we also don't have dedicated threads for TN Whiskey (off-shoot of Bourbon), Corn Whiskey (close cousin of Bourbon), Rye Whiskey, and Canadian Whiskey (off-shoot of Rye), if you absolutely must you could also add Japanese Whiskey (really Bourbon) and Welsh Whisky (basically Scotch))

So I prefer Jameson products (Tullamore, Jameson, Red Breast, Middleton et al.) to Bushmill's products which I won't touch if I can possibly avoid it.

Drink more Jameson than anything -- as it is available at almost all bars -- but don't really like the aged versions
Will drink any Tullamore label (cheaper in the store, more expensive at the bar most of the time) including the aged any day of the week
Will take Red Breast for special occasions (fantastic, single pot still, and half the price of Middleton) over Middleton

But my all time favorite Irish Whiskey was a bottle of John L Sullivan -- an Irish Whiskey aged in single-use bourbon barrels, that I can't get in PA anymore.
