Rare, limited edition of the Benchmade 710 Axis folding knife. This is #88 of 300 made in 2008. The condition is as new in the original, correctly numbered box with warranty papers and Benchmade microfiber bag. It was proudly made in the USA and is covered by Benchmade's lifetime warranty. The knife has not been carried, used or sharpened and is in the condition originally received from KnifeWorks, the dealer that sponsored this limited edition. The blade is nicely centered and locks up perfectly (please see the pictures). The only potential matter to note is that the blade appears to contact the plastic backspacer. If you look into the knife with a flashlight, there is a mark that appears to come from this, but if you look at the edge there does not appear to be any damage at all to the blade edge (which is not surprising, since the backspacer is plastic and the blade is high performance tool steel). If this is a concern, Benchmade will replace the backspacer and/or install barrel standoffs as used on some current 710 variations as a warranty service matter under the terms of their warranty if you send the knife to them.
